[SOLVED] My Ryzen7 3800x CPU is only using 4 cores instead of 8.

only four cores are activated and when i check Ryzen master the other 4 are "sleeping".

i checked the bios but didnt see an option to enable all cores, any help would be appreciated

Install Ryzen master, you can get a real-time view of the situation. It's likely one of your CCD's is disabled.

Also check in Device manager, it should display 16.

Yes it does display 16 but the four other cores are never used, task manager only displays 4 cores, the benchmark only gets 4 cores as well.

Shortly checked manual, did not find any entry for disabling cores or CCX , either.

I did a fresh install of windows and that fixed the problem, still thanks for all the replies and tips.
