Naked DSL, VOIP and Router/Modem Choice

Hi everyone

I'm currently on a cable internet plan and was thinking on switching to a naked ADSL plan including VOIP...can I still use
the router I currently have (a Linksys WRT160N, which is not a VOIP router) and buy an ATA device to connect a DECT phone? Or do I need to buy
a new VOIP router together with a modem (since the cable modem will have to be returned)? I'm rather confused...appreciate any help.

No you don't need to buy another router. I have an old D-link router and it work flawlessly with another old ATA device.
