Hi everyone,
I recently put together my first system with Windows Home Server installed. My question is I currently have a Buffalo Linkstation Pro Duo. I have had this NAS for a couple of years and it has done it's job. I have never been happy with transfer speeds when transferring to or from the NAS. But the speeds have been acceptable. Now that I have the server I am wondering if it would be better to just take the two 500GB drives out of the NAS and install them in the server. I started the server with only a single Terabyte drive. I didn't want to buy a bunch of drives to later decide I didn't like the setup.
Here are the options I have come up with:
1. Keep the Buffalo NAS and buy drives for the server
2. Take apart the NAS and install the two 500 GB drives in the server
3. Sell the NAS and buy new drives for the server.
Thanks in advance for the help. - Mike
