Hi there. I think its time for a new computer, however, I'm still a big noob at choosing the right components. Could anyone help me out here? My budget is about £1000/ $1445

I would like something like a 970 or 980 and possibly like an i5 6600 but I don't know if they would be compatible together. 8gb of ddr4 ram, 2 TB of storage and this awesome case:

Could you also include a copy of windows 10 in the final build please. Thanks

Thanks, guys.

Squeezed a ssd in there, honestly stick with the 650w g2 over that Newton platinum - its just a better made unit

Only bad thing about that board, is no SLI support, and lacks proper CF support. Made a few tweaks, to get sli/proper CF support, while keeping the cost in check, using madmatt30's build.

Guys, I think I've changed my mind. I'm going to go over to Nvidia instead. I am going to re-use my old 1tb hard drive meaning I don't have to buy another copy of windows saving me a bit of money.

Honestly mate £100 extra for a 390x over a straight 390 really isn't worth it at all IMO - especially at the expense of dropping the ssd.
Personally wouldn't build a £1000 build without dropping the £60 for a 240/256gb ssd - its absolutely 100% worth it in the long run .
