Hello!
I have been playing CS:GO (and other games) for a long time and from time to time, the fps of most of the games just reduce and I sometimes found a fix for it...
But now, i dont know what to do.
Here is everything I did (If I remember everything):
Defragging
Installing (and re-installing) the latest drivers for every component
Updating all important updates from Windows Update
Anti-Virus Progs did not find any malware
Buy new components (CPU, GPU, RAM, Water Cooling)
Using several "cleaning" and "tuning" tools (CCleaner, TuneUp)
and last but not least: Full Format of the HDD

I'm at the end of my freaking nerves and I would be glad, If some of you guys out there have a solution for it.

My PC Specs:
Intel Core 2 Extreme Q6850 3ghz * 4
AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB
ASUS P5N32E-SLI
6GB RAM
500 GB HDD
Corsair VX 550 Watt PSU

If I forgot something, then please tell me!
Thanks in advance!

If this has been something that has gotten worse overtime, it could be something as simple as a lot of installed programs overtime have been adding more and more weight on your PC by constantly running background programs/services.

well you could reinstall windows,in which case you would never know what the problem was in the first place.or you could find the problem and fix it."plow and pave" (reinstall)is not my first choice here.chances are this is not a problem with windows anyway and reinstalling will not fix it.uninstall your video drivers and then reinstall.

Hi aldan,
I have already done that. I noticed a small fps boost at the beginning (or maybe it was just an illusion), but after some time, the fps began to reduce

I have downloaded HWMonitor and I noticed, when I play CS:GO, the CPU has a workload of 70 - 90%, while the GPU has a max. of 30% workload. Is this somehow referring to this problem :S ?

You think so? Because I turned all unnecessary services and startup programs in Windows. And all progs on my PC are mostly just games, so i dont really know.

Hi thapoop, I have a few questions for you:
What version of windows are you using?
Do you have a second hard disk plugged in that was not formatted?
What applications (if any) did you install with windows?
What antivirus software(s) are you using?

Things to try:
1. Try disabling antivirus (temporarily).
2. If you're playing online, try disabling any applications that may be using your internet connection. Additionally if someone else is using your connection, you will inevitably experience some form of lag..
3. Download HJT, do a system scan and post the log here to give us a better idea of what applications are running in the bkg.
4. This is a long shot but try disabling the recent windows updates that collect telemetry information. To disable telemetry, see here.

EDIT: The high cpu utilization in your last post is one more reason to try step 4.

Hi jbseven,
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate
No, I have no second HDD
As far as I remember, I did not install any extra app with windows...
I am now using MalwareBytes.

1. There is no active monitoring in MalwareBytes (I think )
2. I have no lag, which is caused by slow internet connection, so I won't be doing that. Unless if thats really an important step, then tell me.
3 and 4. Will be doing that tomorrow

If there is anything to add more info, just ask.

Okay, I have played CS:GO and Rocket League for several hours.
Rocket League has the same fps (50-65) like before.
But the fps in CS:GO in a deathmatch server went now far down (from 65-95 to 40-70).
Well, crap. :(

see all those file missing messages in hjt?you are running a 64bit windows and thats why.hjt used to be the go to program but is pretty much useless today.if you want to check this out further do the following in order.download and run a scan with adwcleaner from bleeping computer.once the scan is done go thru the various catagories and check all boxes for cleaning.then click clean.adwcleaner will show a log on your desktop after reboot.post this in your next post.next download and run junkware removal tool.it will automatically do its thing.no need to check anything.it too will show a log.post this one as well.next do a scan with malwarebytes and get rid of anything it comes up with.post this log too.these logs are important so we can see what was affecting your machine if anything.there is another program that replaces hjt called otl.might have to go there yet but lets see the logs first.

So when you wiped the drive, did you reinstall steam or just "move the folder back"?

Maybe try going to CS:GO properties and click "verify integrity of game cache" option and steam will basically check the install for errors and missing/corrupt files -
but if you have reinstalled steam and/or game no use in doing so again.

NerdIT

Also, are other games giving you the high CPU loads you were mentioning?..or just CS:GO..just Steam games..? Trying to narrow down/see a a pattern

Because CS:GO should absolutely not be eating that much CPU

Rocket League has loads of 40-70%, Left 4 Dead even lower with 20-35% and Black Ops 2 with 50-85%.
I remember that I had some nasty low fps in Dota 2 but I dont know the cpu loads :/
Rocket League and L4D are running fluid, but isn't Left 4 Dead using the same engine (Source) like in CS:GO?
Should I re-install CS:GO just to be safe?

And yes, I did re-install steam and everything else, when I formatted the drive.
