Question Need help in upgrading GPU (Cpu- i5 8400)

Hello everyone i bought my gpu 4 years ago and my cpu+mobo 2 years ago , so my gpu is kind of outdated for latest and upcoming games.I like to play AAA latest games and looking forward to play upcoming games like dying light 2 , cyberpunk 2077, marvel avengers ,and like that games. I mostly Play Fps/shooter multiplayer games mostly Rainbow six siege. I m thinking to upgrade my gpu (Asus gtx 960 2gb Strix) only. I want to know how long my cpu will be able to run AAA games and which gpu will be good to run games on medium-high settings 60fps with my cpu for that long , then i will build a whole new rig . Sorry for my bad english and hope i made my point clear

GPU budget is like not above than Gtx 1660 or super.

My pc specs :
i5 8400
Gigabyte z370 Aorus ultra gaming mobo
Asus gtx 960 2gb strix
Corsair Vs 650
G.skill 16gb 2400mhz Ddr4 ram
1Tb Firecuda BootDrive
Corsair carbide Case(forgot model) maybe spec 3
Monitor- Benq rl2455 (Overclocked to 76hz)
Keyboard- Redgear mechanical keyboard
Mouse- Logitech g502 (3-4years old)

Maybe i will upgraded to 144hz monitor in near future for Rainbow Six siege and other competitive titles not for all games.

Please help really i am very confused.

Ryzen 5 3600 Is a really solid cpu. I would get at least a AIO or a hyper 212 and you can get up to 4.1 ( Maybe 4.2 ) on all cores.

Appreciated your reply but If you are suggesting 1060 there is gtx 1650 super which is really new and perform Equal/better than 1060 for less price and there are newer gpus which are better than all those gpu you suggested for lesser price. I cant get your suggestions on which basis you suggested all these gpus.

1660, RX580 and RX590 are probably your best bet. I wouldn't go with anything lower than 4GB of vram 😊

I am from india prices here are different like
Rx 570 = 11999 INR
Rx 580= 14999 INR
Gtx 1650 super = 13999-14700 INR
Gtx 1660 = 16999
Gtx 1660 Super = 19500 INR

Now which is best for the price and will be good yo pair with my i5 8400 for like 2-3 years
