Need help overcloking computer components PLZ HELP

So im getting some computer upgrades to help me play Crysis. (im on a budget so don't mock my purchases)
-Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 Processor
-OCZ DDR2 1150 MHz Reaper HPC Edition 4GB Dual Channel Memory
-GeForce 9400 GT

Can someone tell me a how-to guide or a video on overclock these components to play Crysis on a good frame rate and high quality. Thanks A Bunch Guys

The CPU is fine and overclocks fine if your board allows overclocking. If you have a Dell, HP, ect.... your probably not gonna be able to OC at all. If you got a custom rig, you need to make sure theres a bios that supports the e5200 for your motherboard.

definately get 800 ram 1150 ram is a waste of money for your situation.

A 9400GT will play solitare, but forget about crysis.

You need a minimum of 8800GT"Nvidia, and 4850 ATI.

Get atleast a 600 watt name brand PSU or forget about gaming or overclocking.

If you already have the e5200, you can safely overclock it to 3.32 GHz (12.5 multiplier at 266 bus). I play Crysis on an e4500. It was was 2.2 GHz stock but I run it at 2.92 GHz (11 times multiplier at 266 bus) on the stock Intel heatsink fan. On High settings, I get around 21 FPS avg on a 19" widescreen at 1440 X 900 resolution and thats with an older 8800 GTS 320 mb version .

Your e5200 if overclocked is sufficient to play Crysis. You may be able to overclock higher with the e5200 but you'll need to replace the stock Intel heatsink cooler. I had an old 8500 GT equivalent to your 9400 GT and I played Crysis on that but at low and medium settings on 1024 by 768 resolution. It was okay and I got into the gameplay but the experience is much better with the visuals and eye candy on high settings which means you'll need a better video card and with that at least a 400 watt power supply. Even if you overclock your 9400 GT you might get a 2,3, or 4% increase on frame rates which is not a noticeable improvement. That card just doesn't have the muscle to play Crysis beyond low settings.

If you're a gamer believe me it's worth the upgrade just for $25 more for a better video card. You can find open box 9800 GTs on Newegg from $79 to $90 on certain days when they update their stock. I'm a budget builder too and over the last year I purchased 2 open box motherboards and 3 open box videocards with no problems at all.

And if you have more on your budget then go for the 9800 or GTS 250. But if you do you'll need a better power supply. I hope this helps you.

I should mention that you will need a new power supply for a 9600gt as well,
a 250w power supply isn't enough for it.

If you want to save some money, i'd still go for the ddr2-800 ram.
You won't get any extra performance out of 1150 mhz ram in crysis.

Also, 4ghz is a little too much to expect out of the e5200, but crysis should be fine with anything 3ghz and over :)

You could even go with a cheaper GTX 250, the overclocked version won't be that much faster than the standard one
Or a GTX 260 for a little more

Sounds like a nicely even balanced system. I don't see the need for the 1150 Mhz memory. It'll just frustrate you more trying to tweak your BIOS settings to see that you're getting to the memory to run that high. You've come this far to build a decent gaming rig. Why not save a little on the ram, and instead off the GTS 250 add another $25 and get the recertified GTX 260 w/215 cores w/free shipping?

It'll give the same performance as two 9800 GTs in SLI without you having to buy an SLI motherboard and two 9800 GTs. If I hadn't purchased two open box 9800 GTs last month to run SLI in my Asus P5N-D, I would already have Newegg sending me that GTX 260! SLI is overrated due to stuttering and heat issues!

Sorry I didn't know you were in Canada. If you have a friend in the US close to the border, maybe 30 minutes driving distance, maybe they can receive the shipment for you? That is, if Newegg.ca doesn't have comparable prices.

It's always better and usually cheaper if you build your own "custom" desktop because the experience and knowledge you gain will keep saving you cash in the future when you upgrade and build entirely new systems. And of course you'll take more pride in it since it was hand built by you.
Since your emphasis is on gaming, your videocard will be the most important part of your budget. No need for name brand case as long there will be room for the GTX 260. I just ordered a new GTX 260 (w/216 cores) yesterday from newegg, $169 straight, no rebates to hassle with and comes with Mirror's Edge and Far Cry 2!
That's why I wouldn't mess with the 9800 GTX+ or even the GTS 250 because for $25 more you can move up to the GTX 260.

Don't get the Tiger. The mainboard chipset is G31 and doesn't come with the 2.0 PCI Express slot only the first generation 1.0. That chipset will also limit your CPU upgrade later in case you want to try a 1600 FSB not sure if you can tweak that board any OC.
