Dood i am so serious.. i need to get this crap off now. What can i dO?

Try a dry q-tip, i wouldnt use a rag, it may scratch the bridges and/or core. It may take a couple q tips, but you should be able to get it all off. Also, try to clean out any cotten fibers after wiping the artic silver off, they could melt to the casing.

Try xylox, its a solvent that can remove just about anything. can be found at paint store or ace hardware.

Try this, pour xylol around your windshield in your car, and push from the inside. notice how windshield falls out so easy =)

i wouldnt imagine you would have to degrease your bridges to get the artic silver off. and i wouldnt use any solvent, you dont know what chemicals you could be rubbing off your processor that protect it

Try a little wd-40 cuts grease nice and is non-conductive. after that a mild soap and water solution to remove the wd-40.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

if you are still having troubles try lighter fluid.
put some on the corner of a paper towel then just keep folding the towel as it get dirty and pretty soon your chip will be clean.
uh did i mention that you should wipe the chip with the towel?

don't know about the core but i took a dremal tool with a steel grinding bit to the bridges on my duron. didn't do squat.

I'd have just tried scraping it out (gently) with a sewing needle. (And constantly wiping the needle off on a paper towel.) But then I'm insane.

That or I'd have sent the chip back claiming that it's defective. Heh heh. (Just kidding by the way.)

Try ExLax, it's very similar to XyLox except it's meant for internal use, don't have to go to Ace hardware, and it's a REAL product. It'll give you something more important to worry about.. take your mind right off of your processor whoas.
