Network cable length

i have been using a 3 meter network cable for my computer and my internet connection is a dedicated 8 mb a sec so i am moving my computer to my new room and it is about one hundred meters away so i was wonder whether it will give me the same speeds as the 3 meter cable and the cable is connected to a Cisco router thanks in advanced

100m is the limit for Ethernet cables, but yes up to that with good cabling you will get the same speed. You must have a large house.
