Do you think the power supply i picked is good enough? even for two 4770's?

*Emaxx is a rebranded J&W mobo. It's the same as this one:

Well could you specify from where you will be buying those components from...
The setup looks good...
But I doubt the 400W would be suffice for dual 4770s...get atleast 500/550W above psu with 2x 6 pin connector...

Seasonic S12 II 430W or Enermax Pro82+ 425W both have 2 PCIe connectors and would be plenty of power.

You don't need the MX-2, it comes pre-applied to the cooler.

I would spend a little more, just to be safe, and get a 550watt PSU with 40+amps on the 12volt rail.A good rule I use when buying a PSU is to get one with 25%-50%more power than what would just get you by.Doing this insures good, clean power and less load/stress on the PSU itself, giving you a longer life on the psu, with less chance of errors resulting from too little power.Goodluck.

2 HD4770s only use ~100W.

I am located in the Philippines. I am buying the parts at a local shop here at slightly higher costs than in newegg. Total cost is around $710 USD.
About the PSU, do you think that changing it to a Corsair 450HX would suffice?
I am also considering changing the motherboard to a foxconn a7da. Any comments on this? Thanks! really appreciate your inputs.

Thanks gkay! How about the foxconn a7da mobo? I read a review on it on another site and apparently he recommends it. thanks

Well the Foxconn a7da is a good board...but the Gigabte and the ASUS ones are better...See if you are able to get any of these boards ...

GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P
GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-UD4H
ASUS M4A78-E
ASUS M3A78-T

If not stick with the Foxconn...

ok, so the gigabyte 790x is about $160+ here. the 790gp is about $190+, while the foxconn a7da is only about $100+. I would rather get the foxconn, as the money i save here could be used for another 4770. what do you think?

One last question, the RAM i picked are the ordinary ones (value series). Do I need better ram to OC my proc to 3.4ghz?

Well like batuchka said you wont need high performance RAM for that overclock...but it would be good if you buy RAM with heat spreader on it as it would keep the RAM cool and would be more stable...

I would go with a bit more psu

couple of other comments

I noticed you said dual 4g ddr2 - 800 kingston RAM
If you are saying you put in two 4gb kits that is, imo, wasted money. if it is just a misunderstanding and it is only 4gb total then cool. If it is indeed 8gb you are looking at then I would suggest dropping it to 4gb w/ tighter trimmings and or going 1066

next i'd think with the rest of your components your GPU selection is a bit light. Don't get me wrong a 4770 is a nice card and I would love to get one personally but , the rest of your specs over match it. Yes if you want to crossfire them it would be way sweet but until you do I think you will be wanting a bit more (unless you are running a 1280x1024 res on a smallish screen).

My opinion drop the extra $50 for the 4870.

If you are dead set on the 4770 i'd say go with a FX mobo w/ 3 or 4 pci-e slots. tht way when you do upgrade to a crossfire setup you have 2 running @ full 16x16. and room for another @ 8x for future .
Even still w/ the FX I still like the idea of a single 4870 better which will leave an open 16x slot for another down the road.

Well t0r0 he is not from US...
And the mobos that you are specifying would cost him much as those are high end boards and in other countries, they come at high premium...
And as for the 4770, he could still add one more on the above boards to improve performance...
