I'm looking to build a high quality gaming PC that can handle live streaming. I haven't purchased anything yet, i'm just doing a lot of research and i'd like to get your thoughts on the parts below and what i can improve on/if anything is overkill.

I'm located in United States, i'd like to stay under 2K for my budget. I don't have any preferred websites for purchasing parts as this is my 1st PC build and i'm quite new to this.

https://newegg.io/e1162737

Thank you in advance!

CPU: Intel i7-13700K
GPU: RTX 4070 12 GB
Power Supply: CORSAIR RMx Series (2021) RM850x CP-9020200-NA 850 W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Power Supply
SSD: Samsung 1TB
CPU cooler: DeepCool AK620
Memory: G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6400 Desktop Memory Model F5-6400J3239G16GX2-TZ5RK
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS ELITE AX LGA 1700 Intel Z790 ATX Motherboard with DDR5, Quad M.2, PCIe 5.0, USB 3.2 Gen2X2 Type-C, Intel WiFi 6E, 2.5GbE LAN, Q-Flash Plus, PCIe EZ-Latch

Approximate Purchase Date: as soon as possible!

Budget Range: prefer to stay under 2K

System Usage from Most to Least Important: mostly for gaming and livestreaming but i'd like to use it for my online biz as well which involves lots of excel and large files.

Are you buying a monitor:
I didn't plan on buying one.

Parts to Upgrade: everything, i have no parts. fresh build.

Do you need to buy OS: yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:
newegg.com is what i know, not familiar with other part sites

Location: United States

Parts Preferences:
no preference, just want the best parts possible for my budget.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: i'd prefer something is quiet but not required.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I'm tired of console gaming, i'd like to get into PC gaming and i haven't had a good build ever.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You might want to stylize your thread with info asked of in this thread;

From your build listed above, you should also include a PCPartPicker link in order for the community to easily swap over parts or spot any other glaring issues in your build.

You should also include where you're located, what your preferred site for purchase is and your budget for the build to act as stipulations for said build.

You want a ATX 3.0 psu for these RTX 40XX cards due to the adapter, that dual tower cpu cooler won't clear that RGB RAM due to height issues, larger SSD, etc ... What country are you located, what is your budget and what is your monitor resolution?

This will be able to play all games like apex, call of duty, etc, while being able to livestream? Anything else i'd need to put everything together once i receive all parts?

Thank you for taking the time to help!

I'm going to do more research on these parts! what entices you about this build? Where would this be better/worse compared to the part list why_me sent above? Could this build handle streaming + gaming at same time?

Thank you for your time and help!

The 7800X3D is the current gaming cpu king.

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-hierarchy,4312.html

If you are worried about more cores for streaming:

7900X3D - $404 - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/XccgXL/amd-ryzen-9-7900x3d-44-ghz-12-core-processor-100-100000909wof

AM5 is an upgradable platform. You can upgrade to the next 2 generations of CPUs, if it's like AM4. That's almost 5 years platform support for next gen CPUs.

The z790 mobo will not support 15th gen intel cpu. You would have to replace the Motherboard along with the cpu.

The gaming performance lags behind 7800X3D / 7900X3D.

7900X3D can handle all the gaming and streaming tasks you throw at it.

If i decided to buy the 7900X3D instead of the 7800X3D, would i need to change any other parts on that parts list you sent yesterday?

Sounds good, thank you.

For windows 11, will this do the trick? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hMYmP6/microsoft-windows-11-home-retail-usb-64-bit-haj-00108 -- I realized i had the DVD version and switched to USB.
With the 7900X3D it can have inconsistent performance because only 6 of the cores have the 3D v-cache. @Lucky_SLS have they gotten down the thread scheduling for games with the two CCD X3D chips? This is my only concern for the OP's build. He may be better served with the 7800X3D in his use case.

AMD released its AMD PPM Provisioning Driver for ryzen 9 CPUs to address this exact issue. This was a known issue and they rectified it.

I'm going to start building later today once all the parts arrive. do you recommend any videos to help the building process go smooth? never done this before so don't want to mess anything up.

Thank you

If you get stuck we are always here! Typically never 'force' anything together. Here is an exhaustive guide video. Make sure that you look up separate videos for the specific parts you are going to be installing like how to install an AMD 7000 CPU with your specific cooler. Typically there are decently made guides that come with individual parts as well!
