I just got this 64gb flash drive and tried to install Linux in it.

after:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
it says i held a broken package: qterminal
i force upgrade it and restart my pc

after the restart, it goes black screen everytime i try to input the password, so i decided to reinstall the OS.

the installer suddenly can't detect the drive, but BIOS detects it just fine.

I boot into my Windows SSD and tries to format the flash drive. it says it's in RAW format. formatting it results in windows crash, chkds result in crash, diskpart result in crash, third party app also crash, even right clicking on the unformatted drive results in crash.

Please help. i'm stressed out already

Go get Rufus and use it to reformat the USB. There is a drop down menu of how you want the final format. Be on windows to use rufus. Keep it simple and do fat 32 or NTSF.
didn't work. no program could format/delete partition the drive. i don't think it's hardware issue either, the drive is brand new, and all i did with it was just trying to install Kali Linux in it
