Approximate Purchase Date: this week, if there are no issues

Budget Range: 1300 - 1500

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Use in University programming courses - experimenting with virtual machines - gaming

Are you buying a monitor: Yes, but it's outside of budget since I've yet to seriously delve into that sphere and prices are unclear.

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I guess amazon, or ebay since used cases would not be an issue, if kept well.

Location: italy

Parts Preferences: none

Overclocking: No

Additional Comments: Hello, before I start buying I thought I may need some help in identifying possible incompatibilities between the components, if they are affected by notable issues I missed or if someone has had problems with them.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Building: need pc for programming work and some games.

• CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7900 3.6 GHz 12-Core
• GPU - XFX Speedster SWFT 309 Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB
• MOBO - Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX ATX AM5
• MEMORY - Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000
• STORAGE - Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 SSD
• COOLER - Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
• PSU - Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold
• +Optical Drive
• +Case

Since the case must have enough space to accomodate the gpu and cpu cooler while also (required) having at least 1 optical drive cage, I'm torn between these 4 choices:

• Nox Hummer zx (Black) ~ 74€
• In-Win GT1 (Black) ~ 90€
• Be Quiet Pure Base 600 ~ 97€
• Fractal Pop Air ~ 99€

I'm trying to get the optimal budget choice as I've already surpassed my bugdet of 1300€ (not counting a decent monitor). What case would you pick?
Any input appreciated, thanks!

Hi, Thanks for the reply!

I'm afraid a 6 core won't be enough in my case, I'm planning on keeping this build for a few years and I have to be ready for unexpectedly intense work sessions / projects.

The phantom spirit cooler is a great catch, didn't know it was a successor to the Peerless assassin and it's basically at the same price.

The Corsair sticks seem to be slightly better than the Adata ones, for 10€ I think I'll keep them.

SSDs wise, the Lexar one is, unfortunately, more around 150€ once shipping is added in. Still not bad for 2tb but apparently they lack DRAM Cache, that is instead part of the WD ones. I'll think about it

PSU too looks intresting, didn't know about the nzxt model. I'll look into it more, same goes for the motherboard. Being pretty new to the field I still haven't researched well the MSI products, will do now.

Wow these are a lot of slight, difficult to evaluate changes.

I think I'll keep the R9 7900 over the x counterpart as I'd rather have less power consumption and temperature than a slight increase in performance.
Just noticed you suggested the non-SE version of the phantom spirit, sleeker top even if apparently they are the same performance wise. I'll consider it.

Motherboard is giving me a headache, I don't really know if I'll need the extra 4 power pins of the X AX or its 2.5 ethernet connection. Eagle it's 30€ less but X AX seems to be more reliable... I'll have to think about it.

The G.Skill ripjaws may actually be best. They are shorter and slightly cheaper than the corsair ones, very nice indeed. They are not EXPO compatible but I don't plan on overclocking.

The 6750x really doesn't seem to add much from what I've read, it is also slightly longer and heavier. I'll check the details, it may be worth it for just 5€ more.

PSU wise the Seasonic is indeed a valid option.
Thanks for all the suggestions!
