So I’m looking to build a new pc now that prices are starting to drop. I currently have a intel i5 cpu, a gtx 1090 and 16gb of ddr4 ram. It does a decent job but my frames are pretty low on games like Warzone. It’s also pretty slow when I have streams on in the background while I game. I don’t need anything crazy just want to be able to run most games on medium quality while being able to have videos or streams playing on a second monitor.

This is the current build I’m looking at. Any suggestions on areas I can spend more or less on to get a good well rounded quality build? I’m not very knowledgeable about motherboards so I kinda just chose any one. I want this build to be able to run games such as Warzone and valorant at high fps and still be able to have other programs open in the background on a second monitor.

CPU: Intel i5-12400 2.5 Ghz
CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i
MB: Asus Prime Z690-P
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 12gb Gaming X
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32gb (2x16) DDR5-5600
Storage: Samsung 970 evo plus 1TB M.2 2280 NVME & Samsung 879 evo 1TB 2.5” SSD
Power Supply: Corsair 850w 80+ Gold fully modular
Case: Corsair 4000D airflow atx mid

No mention of an OS so I'll assume this is either a prebuilt or you have it covered in the cost and looking at your choice of gpu I'm also going to assume your resolution is 1080P. Going by US prices this is what I got out of your post:

CPU: $194
Cooler: $100
Board: $210
GPU: $440
RAM: $230
SSD: $110
PSU: $125
Case: $105
O/S: ?
Total: $1524 USD

Looking at your budget and uses I'd do something like this and btw that Phanteks psu down below is manufactured by Seasonic.

There many different parts and many different opinions about the best mix.

If your going to game and stream you might want to consider something like the 12700.

Ddr4 vs ddr5 that's your call.
Perhaps read some reviews.

IIRC there's no such thing as a GTX1090. They topped out at the 1080Ti.
Just be nice to know where you're coming from so we can give a meaningful improvement.

Still waiting on Country, Budget, and what monitor you're using.

it’s a 1060 then my bad lmao.. 6 and 9 mixed up lol. I’m from the US. And my last build was around $1200 maybe when I built it. I don’t mind spending a little more than that. This is my 3rd build so I want it to be a lot better since now I have more room in my budget than before. The monitor I have is the Acer nitro xf273

Ok, but what's your budget. Is $2,000 a "little more" than $1200?

Can you list the full specs of your current PC? Or are you not planning on reusing anything?
Yeah I’ll say $2000. I think I’m gonna sell it to a friend as is. So I won’t reuse anything besides maybe the cpu cooler. my current pc spec:
CPU: Intel i5-8400 2.8 GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i
MB: Gigabyte b360 hd3
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6gb
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32gb (4x8) DDR4 3200Mhz
Storage: Kingston 240gb 2.5” ssd & WD 1TB HD
Power Supply: Corsair RM 850w

Any preferred resolution such as 1080P or 1440?
