[citation][nom]bad_code[/nom]No one really needs nor wants mac apps. Your argument is ridiculous. There are so many app out there for people to do video most people don't need a $300-$600 app for video but the do have them for PC also. Also your comment This is a good example of disinformation. I know a lot of Mac owners who are very savvy when it comes to tech. Generalizations like yours are just ignorant. This is BS I am not miss informed and I am so sick of people trying to defend them selves by saying "Generalizations" it's true for Windows and Mac computers that most are not very savvy. If they were all very savvy, they would be running linux and windows apps with wine. Generalizations are ways of making observations and collecting statistics. So get over it and accept it. People that buy macs don't know much about computers including you! Especially those that say macs are impervious to viruses.and your pathetic comment "Do you build your own motor vehicles, house, and make your own clothes?" shows your lack of knowledge and frustration even further. You know I am referring to computers. Sorry you own a mac and can't deal with it, but one day you will get over it.[/citation]
You make little sense. Do you proofread before posting?
Your comment that nobody wants any Mac apps is false. Look at the history of computers and start with the early applications that were designed initially for Apple's/Mac's and are now ported for Windows. Some of the most notables are: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and VisiCalc,.Then there are some of the newer apps: Studio Logic, GarageBand, and Final Cut Pro. Wish I had a dollar for ever time I have am asked if there is a Windows version of GarageBand. Then you have Quicktime, you know, that application with the code that MS loved so much that they actually stole the code and settled in litigation. Once again, your claim is baseless so what else is new?
You twist what was said, and are now spinning. I did not say "all" or "a lot" of Mac owners...I said "a lot of Mac owners that I know" are tech savvy. Mind you, I know just a few Mac owners, but enough to discredit your comment that people buy Mac's because of their lack of knowledge about computers. Again, you made an incorrect generalization based on no facts what so ever. You say that generalizations are a way of making observations...true. But, you then have to make your hypothesis, and put it to the empirical test which includes collecting data, that you then apply your statistical tools to. So tell me...where is your data about Mac users? An observation, delusion, or hallucination is not a fact.
You say: "People that buy macs don't know much about computers including you!" Now this is disinformation. FYI: I have a Master's in Applied Math, and a BS in Neuropsychology where I studied computer models of the human brain. I have built many a PC, done the Boolean algebra and digital circuit thing, build my own electrical effects components, programmed robots used in the growth of Ga-Ar ingots, build my own Win boxes, have worked as a software engineer and network engineer. Now I just teach computer science and multimedia. Your comment is something I would expect to hear a kid say out on the playground. You only discredit yourself by throwing such puerile comments out.
My asking you if you build your own cars does not show any frustration or any lack of knowledge on my part. You need to learn to say what you mean and quit making assumptions that everyone knows what you are talking about. I merely made the comment to illustrate the absurdity of your remark, and was busting your chops. Set yourself up, and you might get pushed over.
There is no need to feel sorry for me about my owning some Mac's. You saying that I can't deal with it is more disinformation...you are assuming that I am not happy with what I own and that is not the case. Why do you falsely assume that I would be unhappy with something I purchase? This is ignorance and a myopic assumption on your part. You sound very angry and frustrated. Are you? Don't worry...be happy.
