Hello all
I have recently built my first PC (components below) - I put everything together but the PC wont post with the GPU connected
Can someone please check If im just being stupid. This has been a steep learning curve for me, and the componets are right and everything seems ok?
The error: When I turn it on the DRAM light comes on yellow and then the PC shuts down. The fans power up and lights come on but then the light comes on and it powers down then restarts and doies the whole process again.
From looking around online this light would intidacte that its a memory issue, Howevery I have changed out the RAM, I have also upgraded the PSU thinking it may be a power issue
Things I have done to try and remedy it
- updated Bios
- reset CMOS
- changed RAM
-changed PSU
- double triple checked all connections and cables
-taken it apart and put back together again
The PC will boot when the GPU isn't connected, SO I have managed to set the computer up and install windows etc, but now I am stuck with an expensive (for me) GPU that won't work
Overall I kinda wish I built a prebuilt as I have a newborn at home and i'm under so much sleep deprivation and stress that I don't need this hassle right (nor spending).
I'm hoping its just me being stupid rather than a hardware issue
Thanks and i appreaciate any help I may receive
