Hey everyone, hoping someone here can help me out. I just finished building my new PC and I can’t get it to boot. No signal, no POST, nothing. The debug LEDs on my MSI board show both CPU and RAM errors — and I’m running out of things to try.
🔧 My Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Motherboard: MSI X870 Gaming Plus WiFi
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 (KF560C30BBK2-64)
Cooler: Arctic Freezer II 280 AIO
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 850W (also tested with another PSU)
GPU: Not installed for testing — using basic boot config
❌ The Problem:
System turns on, fans spin, AIO runs — but no display or POST.
CPU and RAM debug LEDs stay lit on the motherboard.
No BIOS, no beeps, no signs of booting.
✅ What I’ve Tried:
Booting with just CPU, 1 RAM stick, no GPU or drives
Swapped PSU with a known working one
Reseated CPU, checked cooler pressure (not overtightened)
Tried both RAM sticks separately in different DIMM slots
Cleared CMOS several times
CPU and motherboard were tested by retailer — both confirmed working
BIOS version should support the 9800X3D out of the box
Chat-GPT Theory:
I’m thinking the RAM might be the problem. It’s 64GB (2x32GB) at 6000MHz CL30, which is dual rank and pretty aggressive. I know X3D CPUs can be picky with memory training, especially with non-QVL kits. Could this be why both CPU and RAM LEDs are stuck on?
📩 Looking For:
Any other ideas before I buy new RAM just to test
Thanks in advance — any help is massively appreciated.
