I bought a new 970 Evo Plus 2tb at a good sale and successfully migrated from my 860 QVO and everything works except 1 game I play which is Squad.

Not sure why but it's the only game that BSOD's on the 970 Evo so I moved the game install to my 860 QVO (After other potential fixes were unsuccessful like GPU driver rollbacks and fresh reinstalls of the game) and it runs without a hitch.

Not really sure what else I can do besides getting a replacement 970 Evo unless there is something I'm missing besides doing a fresh Windows install.

Thanks for reading.

Using Samsung's Magician App, see if the drive has any firmware updates pending. What is the make and model of your motherboard? Which slot is the culprit SSD populating on the motherboard? As for the motherboard, what BISO version are you currently on?

successfully migrated from my 860 QVO
Can you elaborate on this? Was the 860 used as an OS boot drive + game drive? You simply cloned the drive to the 970 Evo Plus?

The 970 Evo plus is on its newest firmware. The motherboard I'm using is the ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO (non-WiFi), the SSD is installed on the lower m.2 slot beneath the chipset heatsink, and the bios is the latest 4901 version.

I used the Samsung Data Migration tool to clone the 860 QVO that was an OS and Game drive to the 970 EVO plus.
