Well, your power supply is pretty much trash at this point and there's not much point in trying to upgrade the parts you have. Since you don't have much to lose you could try an adapter to see if it works. If it fails it should just shut down the system but there's always a chance things can get dammaged so proceed from here knowing the risks invloved.I might aswell buy a whole new pc :/
