"No AMD graphics driver is installed" after updating drivers

First of all, the laptop I'm using is HP Pavilion g4-2006TX, with AMD Radeon 7670M as my dedicated graphics card, and used almost every time for gaming. While I'm playing some games, the performance are really bad. My friend suggested me that I update the drivers first.

I went to the AMD website, and because I don't know which one to choose, I downloaded the AMD Driver Autodetect Tool. Ran the Autodetect, downloaded the drivers, and installed it. After that, it requires a restart. After restart, a popup box showed up, and it said "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD Driver is not functioning properly"

At this point I don't know what should I do, my instinct said that I should uninstall then reinstall. I did that, and the popup box is showing again. Any suggestions?

For laptops, you should get the latest drivers from the laptop manufacturer website for the corresponding model. Do the following:
1) Completely uninstall every drivers related to the GPU. (Run a clean/registry fix with the help of Ccleaner if you can)
2) Restart the system.
3) Do windows update and install all the updates.
4) Restart again.
5) Now go to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&product=5239248, choose your OS, download the file under "Driver-Graphics".
6) Install the downloaded driver and restart the system.

The AMD catalyst 14.9 should still work with your gpu.
Uninstall your drivers. Use Display Driver Uninstaller :

Follow the on screen instructions. Choose to boot into safe mode. After booting into safe mode, the program should pop up. Check the box "Remove C:/AMD or Nvidia". Then choose clean and restart. After restarting. Restart the system again.
After that attempt to install your drivers.

Use amd cleanup utility which is available in their website. Then try to reinstall 14.9 version which will support your hardware.

hi bro/....am also using amd radeon...@i updated via autodetect tool..its downloaded 240mb file...but how can i install that??pls leave a reply

It will automatically installed. If not, goto temporary folder of your PC (Run->%temp%) find 240mb file install it.
