Question No signal after installing GPU drivers on Windows 10 ?

hi guys, so recently my friend having trouble on his PC relating to display.

the problems kind of absurd and we had tried so many things.

so the problem is after installing gpu driver the display on the monitor suddenly goes off and said no signal BUT it's completely fine when he move/plug the hdmi cable to a TV instead of the monitor.

when we switch to igpu, it's completely fine, the monitor doesn't have any trouble.

We thought it could be a gpu problem, so he bought himself a new gpu and turns out the problem is still exactly the same.

the monitor is aoc 24v2q and the tv is just some random FHD tv.

so what could be the problem then? we about to try using DP and hope it might helps but it's just doesn't make any sense at all if it works on dp but not hdmi.

biostar h61 lga 1155
ddr3 2x4gb ram
intel i5-3470
r7 350 (previous GPU) -> 1660 super (current gpu)
550w 80+ bronze psu
Monitor is AOC 24V2Q

Is the HDMI cable the cable that came with the monitor, where did you get the HDMI cable?

we about to try using DP and hope it might helps but it's just doesn't make any sense at all if it works on dp but not hdmi.

It could make sense actually, as not all hdmi cords are A) certified and B) capable.
The one you are using may not be up to code as far as bandwidth and display capabilities go. It could also be faulty
