Really Toms, you need not bite on desperate ploys by nvidia to make shoppers put a hold on buying ATI's 5k series cards.

They don't look like renders to me, and that guy is ugly as hell. So far I'm unexcited for the GT300 series, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

i haev to agree but i does look impressive if it is real, but you cant really tell if the card will do that in say crysis2.

yeah right... it's just the same as with all other graphics demos we've seen so far: they don't matter. i can't even recall how many times i've already seen amazing looking heads in such demos, yet in games, models still look like shit in comparison to demos of 7 years ago.

These renders tell you the performance of the graphic artist, not the hardware. As many people mentioned, the speed at which the hardware renders the image is what is important.

Photo realistic renders have been done already. You just need to find some artist who's willing to spend countless hours making one and waiting for it to render.

Realistic "renderings" are nothing new, people. It's hilariously fecking old news, and I'm literally laughing myself to death at this post.

And, those are TERRIBLY done- just look at his forehead, the wrinkle lines don't even match up! Secondly the ear has obvious lack of physical detail (see it's outline against background).

Wow. Seriously? If anyone is "wowed" by this, even in the slightest, you need to leave your cave and find the nearest civilization. Ridiculous.
