probably liquid cooled too? is the 1070 really gonna be armed with old GDDR5? google's not showing any freakin results yet.

the quick video had the blow-up and showed a vacuum chamber and such so that almost has ot be the founders edition for the crazy 2 ghz oc speeds. the leaked 3d mark showed a 1.8 ghz speed which is more likely for the reg edition. and normal air cooling seems good enough considering it only 180w card (or probably less)

Yes. GDDR5 for the 1070. It will still be faster than a 980 Ti.

1080 2x faster than Titan X and 1070 faster than Titan X holy COW! I think I might upgrade from my 980. Who knows what Titan Pascal or 1080ti could bring

def got to sit back and see what else shows from the series. a couple months should be worth the wait to see what else is released. still itching for a 75w card that beats out the 970. sure looks possible now......

HBM2 among other things

so if the new titan is a cut down p100 and has hbm2 as it is expected to have, what kind of performance can we expect there??!!! we'd have to be talking 6x or more performance than a titan x. it's silly the power it could have based on what we saw tonight

The overclocking is pretty intriguing, since that's the real variable from card to card and GPU to GPU. And now we're talking about 2000 MHz cards, so a measly 10% OC is 200 MHz.
MSI GTX 1080 Lightning sounds pretty cool right now.

😀 easy to get carried away with the hype. but i'll be very happy with a 1070 in a few months when i do my new build as it will be a lot more than i need anyway and should be a good price for what it should be able to do.
that or a 1060 model for a bit less will hopefully show up in the next couples months as well.

Does anybody have any experience with the EVGA step-up program? I have till about June 20th to use it. I'm curious when I'll be able to put my name in the queue for a new card. Is it usually before or after the release date? Thanks.

I'd really like to get in the queue early and not have to refresh the step-up page every hour for the next month.
