So for anyone that out of the loop, nvidia announced the 1080 and 1070 today.
http:// I was watching the live stream of the event and Jen was claiming that the 1080 will be faster than two 980's running in sli, it's faster than the titan-x and and three times more power efficent than the titan x. The reference model was running at a 2.1 GHZ clock with a 5.5 GHZ mem clock at 67 C. I'm not interested in amd what so ever (very bad experiences with them). So I've come here to ask, should I become a day one adapter of the 1080, I currently have 970 sli's but i was literally planning on buying a 980ti today but decided to wait once i heard pascal was finally coming. The 1080 is dropping on the 27th, so I'm here to ask; should i sell my 970 sli's and get about 250 each before the price of used 970's tank, and just run my old 750 until these cards come out and buy one day one, or wait a few months? I don't really have a problem with the stock cooler, as I've seen like many others, what the stock cooler can do on this card. I'm also not all that much into overclocking, i don't find it all that worthwhile so i don't care much about waiting for evga, asus and others to drop models.
