For somebody with a 4k monitor that wants the best possible experience with a Single GPU and doesn't want to spend 1400 USD dollars on 2x 1080's in SLI " Founders Edition

The card was available this morning and now sold out day 1.

Titan X will easily be $1400 I bet. MSRP of $1200, so you know that really means more, if recent history is any lesson.

I don't think the VRAM will be reduced unless they implement the configuration from Video Cardz if this is a possibility.

They are saying 320-bit 10240 or 10 GB of VRAM - Could this be possible ?

This is an Nvidia Exclusive at least for now & I think the price will remain at 1200 unless things change...

this new titan x actually probably even useless to half or more deep learning researcher/developer because FP16 needed for most deep learning stuff actually being crippled on purpose by nvidia. nvidia push this new titan only for it's INT 8 performance. for developer that want FP16 performance they need to get tesla.

nvidia mostly did not allow board partner to make custom version of titan but they still allow them to sell them. but this time around board partner don't even get the chance to participate in selling the new titan x.

if you look at history you should be aware that nvidia will not allow any non titan card to have the same or exceed the amount of VRAM available on the titan (on that generation). GTX780 6GB was the only exception. EVGA rep did mention they intend to bring in 780Ti 6GB after their 780 6GB but it the end it never happen. because nvidia want people that want 6GB VRAM to actually buy titan black instead.

I wouldn't get it. For one thing, FE. $650 is still higher than MSRP (well, not for Founder's, but for aftermarket cards). The 1070s seem to be better value and have some availability at least on Newegg.

Does anyone know when Asus's Dual line of GPUs come out? I'm interested in them becuase they match my build good and look cool but can't find much info when they release.

As in dual GPU on one graphics card (ie. GTX 760 Matrix)? If so, then I don't know. There isn't any info on a new version.

Sorry didn't mean to be confusing I was talking about these, they are supposed to have an overclocked one and non overclocked one but I can't find any info on them besides the page on Asus's website

Oh that is going to get people in trouble. Dual just refers to the cooler. Which is all white with black fans.

i believe the asus dual 1060 is based on the reference card. can't prove it yet as have not seen any reviews or teardowns but it makes sense considering there is already multiple models based on the custom pcb they have. the size of it is right as well for a reference design as the strix design is a lot longer.

If the rumored 3328 shaders turns out to be correct, a 1080Ti with better power distribution and two or more BIOS,s could make for a very interesting comparison.

It's my gut feeling that decision has been made. I know a lot of people are waiting to see if AMD can pull a rabbit out of its hat with Vega. I just don't think NVidia is in that group. Nothing the red team has can touch the 1080. Not from performance and not from price/performance. Everyone seems determined to compare 1080 prices to 980 prices. The 1080 is priced competitively with the 980Ti and the FuryX, neither of which can touch its performance. They're barely in shouting distance of the 1080.

After seeing the performance of the 480X, I don't think Vega can match the Pascal, either.

sometimes i was thinking why AMD at least did not target 980Ti/Fury X performance with Polaris 10. they should be well aware how 1080/1070 performance can be by looking at 980/970 vs 780Ti/780 performance. nvidia most likely fully aware about this as well on how AMD can predict their performance hence this time even their x70 are on par with their previous flagship (not counting titan series) to raise the bar. did GF 14nm have issues preventing AMD making polaris 10 much bigger that 232mm2?
