I was just now told by a guy at excaliburpc.com that the soonest that anyone will have a shipment of the strikers is on the 24th. That of course means that the soonest anybody will be open and selling thanks to holidays is the 27th. He also mentioned a small number has gone out to system builders. This news has really ruined my day as every other part for my pc has just now finished coming in. Hooray for the holidays.

ZZF never lies to anybody. They are not like TigerDirect.

So anybody (the lucky ones) who bought from ZZF, Im sure they will have their board shipped before the end of next week guarantee.

That is fantastic they were actually still in stock when I just now checked and obviously ordered one. Sorry excaliburpc gotta cancel my order with you.

Like I said.... It's not in stock but Page has it listed for $313.93 If nothing else you might as well put in for a Notify Me when In Stock.

Even that is too much for me. I am looking at the Asus board but a step down from the Striker.

At that price, plus the design change of the board from the EVGA, plus the ASUS reputation.... I mean really!! $224.24 that's pretty damn good!!

Even east Luna has it cheaper than most places! LOL

That link for $246 is for the P5N32-E which Im not interesting on. Still the Striker Extreme has a good price.

BTW, Newegg is out of stock with $10 extra making it $409.99

Mcparty, how well is EastLuna? How they package their products? Are the shipping prices reasonable? Fast Shipping? Any other comment? How was the experience? How many times have you buy from them? Would you buy again from them?

Thanks

I know.... The link for the Striker is

http://store.pagecomputers.com/catalog/Unclassified/Other/1219611.html

and

http://www.eastluna.com/hardware/details.php?id=2327

And yes, I have bought from both Page and EastLuna and to be 100% honest, I never had any trouble with either of them. On time, packaged good, I guess the only bad thing I can say about either is that I never had to use their customer support...so I can't say how it is. I have bought from both probably... between 12 and 16 times each.

Orders are shipped via UPS, FedEx, USPS or other freight companies. For USPS shipments, the package goes through their shipping partner, FedEx Smartpost or UPS-MI, before it is transmitted to the local postal office in your area. Page Computer cannot guarantee the number of days for ground deliveries.

Available Options:
Ground or 2nd-day

Prices are fairly typical.

Has anyone else used Page or EastLuna??

Slim... like I said in another post, Page has been around since the early nineties at least!! To stick around THAT long in this business your doing something right! LOL

Yes no doubt I'm more than a little ashamed to be spending so much on a motherboard. But my desktop went up in smoke last week and I don't know how much longer I can work on this ancient laptop. If this is the price of having a decent computer before thanksgiving then I guess that's how it's gotta be.

I would say it got a bad review because people didnt know how to handle it. I want a real review like from anandtech or toms. there I will have a conclusion.

LOL, That's fine slim. It didn't get a bad review, 92 just not a $400 review.
They gave the EVGA board a higher score for stability, 97.

But to say they didn't know how to handle it??? Come on...they've been doing just motherboard reviews for a while! It's Motherboards.org not .com or .net.
I agree, never listen to just one place but trust me, Tom's and Anandtech are not the end all of review places! LOL
A lot of the home page is links to reviews Tom's hasn't done.

Anyway... just thinking you need to broaden your favorites folder a little! LOL

Our distributor claims the Striker Extreme is EXTREMELY limited right now. Fortunately, I scored mine at ~$300, and it will ship today or tomorrow. Yay. I also ordered two Asus 8800GTX cards, so I should be good to go now.

Where did you get one at $300???
At that price I may consider it!! LOL

Slim, ya disappointed me! LOL I thought you'd be more openminded! LOL Neither they nor myself said it wasn't a good board. But it is starting to sound like you won't believe any review unless it says what you want it to say, that it's a great board! LOL

That's ok...you have your heart set on it no matter what, I can tell! I'm sure there will be more reviews coming very soon!
