It wouldn't make sense for them to have a teaser like that for anything else than the "fastest" video card. It's gonna be the GTX 690 dual GK 104.

It's the GTX 690 on schedule, maybe even ahead of schedule, as has been reported over the past couple months. Look for the GTX 670 and GTX 670 Ti to follow shortly afterwards.

By the way, why is Tom's always a couple days late to report things like this? Most of the news stories, like this one, have already been reported elsewhere 1 or 2 days prior.

Educate me...what application (or game) needs what we expect the GTX690 to be? Metro 2033 is hungry but even 2 x 7970's in CF can handily beat it into submission. So would a GTX690 offer anything really compelling or just more-over-the-top FPS?

Ha! they can't even keep them in stock when they're selling at over $500, I would love it if it were true but Nvidia would have to be smoking something pretty strong to be that stupid.
