Not only do they want to settle with a computer that is nowhere near the computer I had bought (if I had wanted a Compaq I would have bought one instead of the HP), but now they tell me that I have to do without my computer for 8 to 10 weeks because they did not expect the number of claims that they received. I use my computer every day for work or otherwise, now I am not only expected to settle for a computer that does not even come close to the one I had (they say I should be happy because it has the new Windows 7 as if that should make up for all the other stuff), but now I am also inconvenienced with having to do without a computer for 2 1/2 months on top of that. Should we not be compensated for that also? For some of us, our computer is our livelihood I think that "like or simular kind and value" should mean just that and they should not be able to replace our computers with a much cheaper one which is not even the same brand as the one we bought in the first place. I don't know about anyone else, but I looked at computers for some time before I bought the one I had and Compaq was not even in consideration at the time.
