Question NVMe SSD in Intel H310 Chipset

Hi All,

I’m planning to build a new desktop computer and am eyeing to use NVMe SSD using:
XPG SX6000 PCIe Gen3x2 M.2 2280 (http://www.xpg.com/us/feature/500)

And plan to buy either of the 2 motherboards:
- MSI H310m Gaming Arctic (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H310M-GAMING-ARCTIC)
- Asus Prime H310m-e R2.0 (https://www.asus.com/ph/Motherboards/PRIME-H310M-E-R2-0/)

Is the NVMe SSD compatible with either one of the motherboards?

Yes, that PCIe x2 drive will work for those boards. Being PCIe x2, nothing magical.

If this is going to be all new parts, why build with older tech?
And don't get starry eyed over the uber benchmark speeds of an NVMe drive. That speed is often unnoticeable in regular use.
