Everyone that isn't a cynical language removed tends to be impressed with VR. Especially when you compared to whatever the hell that thing was Nintendo tried to pass off as VR in the 90s. VR is here, whether it takes off in a year or 5 years, it will take off sooner rather than later. Your opinion will be proven wrong with time. Simple as that.

Room to disagree, as I said above. Would you two please give it a rest and allow the rest of us to enjoy the forums?

We moderators put in a lot of volunteer hours keeping the forums friendly. Please make it easier for us.

Follow up: Tried Oculus at FB's HQ this week. It's the first VR attempt I've seen that evokes involuntary believability. You know it's fake, and the graphics aren't perfect, but that didn't even matter. You still can't help reactions like that sinking feeling when you get dropped and fall - like on a roller coaster. Even knowing things like that are coming doesn't prevent the feeling, which is impressive! Improving fidelity will no doubt increase the range of possible applications. It's a significant paradigm shift, and that's really exciting!
