Hi everybody,

I have just built a new PC with three separate storage devices. NVME (boot drive), SSD, HDD (recycled from an old PC). My problem is with the new SSD, I bought a Samsung 870 500GB SSD and placed it into the computer as extra storage, however, it only displays as 499MB, and does not allow anything larger to be stored on it.

Looking at the disk management the device is formatted as an NTFS storage device. Disk 0 holds all three of the storage devices, but Disk 1 has 465.76 GB of unallocated storage.

I would very much like to be able to make the most of this SSD, so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Solution
You installed windows boot partition (not windows itself, just the boot partition) on that SSD, you cannot remove it in the future, if that is not a problem for you then select the raw space right click on it and create a new volume, make it ntfs and that's it, you got 500GB ssd is usable.

This worked, thank you very much.
