OS on SSD, Rest on HDD

Solution
30gb wont really be enough for windows once you count in all the updates and drivers and etc. You will need to move basically everything except windows itself to the secondary.

The windows folder alone on my PC is 18gb - thats including no program files or etc. And remember that 30gb will not be 30gb usable. Its almost not worth getting the SSD at all. I would only get 30gb in a USB drive.

I think you mean 1tb HDD, not SSD.

Most of the time, your are asked if the default "C" drive is where you wish to install your game or app.
No reason you can't change that to the 1tb hard drive.

But... with only 30gb, and probably 26gb useable, you will have to be very careful about space.
Hisabling hibernation before you ever use it can save you the hiberfile.
Keep the page file small, particularly if you have plenty of ram.

Really, change that out for 80-120gb ssd. A ssd becomes sluggish as ti nears the filled point.
Perhaps you can use the 30gb ssd as a cache for the hard drive.
