Hi, I have done quite a bit of serching and can't seem to find what I'm
looking for. I can't seem to find a newsgroup for Outlook XP so hopefully
someone here can help. Is there a program or utility that will let me have
Outlook XP open but minimized to the notification area so that I will know
when I have email without having to open and close Outlook or leave it open
in my taskbar all the time? Any help is appreciated.

There is no Outlook XP. That's why you can't find the group.

There is Microsoft Office XP, and Outlook 2002 is part of it.
That may be what he means when he says "Outlook XP."

When Outlook is running, right click on the icon in the notification area,
and select the option "Hide when minimised".

There is outlook, a part of office.
There is outlook express, a part of windows.
There is no such thing as outlook XP.

Lots of listings for outlook, might try microsoft.public.it.office.outlook
and see if the folks there can help or suggest a spot to try.
