Hello, I just finished my first OC on my gpu tonight. I am running a 5070ti and was able to be stable at +475mhz on core and +3000mhz on memory. After I finished OC I moved onto undervolt it, for the first time, I am very new to this stuff. I was following a guide on YouTube, found my top speed at 3300mhz / 1.035v, adjusted that down to 1v and was stable. I then adjusted it down to .95v and immediately my pc froze after applying that. I had to hold the power button down on my PC to restart. After restarting I have applied my OC profile that was stable, however my core clock speed is not going over 2600mhz now. Memory speed still increases by the 3000mhz like I change. When I reset my OC profile to default values, my core clock speed is then about 2100mhz. It is like my gpu is functioning off of some new low speed??? I am lost as what to do.

So I did do a reinstall of my driver and MSIafterburner and neither of those fixed it. I was able to fix it another way tho, although I have no idea why. I went into MSIafterburner and put my oc to +700mhz and noticed that it brought my core clock to 2800mhz, I then increased it again to +900mhz causing my pc to crash and had to do hard restart. After boot I checked and everything was functioning as before, I have decided I am not going to mess with under volting now.

When this happens, you should not just reinstall stuff. You should first uninstall Afterburner with Revo Uninstaller (remove everything, files and registry entries), then reboot in safe mode and uninstall drivers with DDU. Then reboot and install graphics drivers, and if it works, install Afterburner. You got lucky that a crash and reboot did reset everything, Also, if you update Nvidia drivers (manually or with the Nvidia App), always first make sure Afterburner is not running. Close it, update driver and then relaunch it.
