I thought people oc to:

1.) Keep warm in the winter time.

2.) Make sure their electic meter in the back yard doesn't get stuck and keeps spinning.

3.) Save time (to have more time to waste) when they compile stuff, rip music/dvd's, and perhaps boast their results.

4.) To be a rebel.. defy warranty warnings.

5.) To wach their lamps dim in light, when the hard drive is accessed.

If you OC and do it right, you will see quite a performance gain visually and in benchmarks.

yes i agree try to get as much performance out of your sys as you can
because when you order and start building a new computer it is out of
date before fed ex or ups delivers it to your door lol

With liquid nitrogen, perhaps 1 out of 10 3200+ 90 nm processors will do this....

i have the asus 32sli deluxe for about amonth now before i had the k8neo 4 sli msi board for about 3 months all other parts are the same a 3700amd
6800gt which i find that it is cheaper to go with a 7800 or two 6800gs's than another 68gt so still just the single 68gt antec 550 true power2.0
and 2 xms 512s just recently add 2 more which made the biggest diff
but on the k8n msi board i got 2507mgz on the 3700 with stock hsf and temps at 78 to 80f i have gotten 2608mhz with this asus board with a arctic freezer pro64 cooler and temps are 80 to 84f anyway when the 3700 runs stock at 2200mhz and at 2600mhz i cant tell a diff on every day browsing the net or even gaming but with the extra memory it flys
