Overlocking a8 3870k

Hello, I am having problems to overclock this thing.. right now I have it at 3.4ghz with 1.476 vcore, the problem is that if I just give it 100 mhz more (3.5ghz) it is unestable, I tried up to 1.60 of vcore and still unestable.. I tried everything! any help please? thanks

My motherboard is a F1A75-M Pro

1.6 volts is an awful lot...I just think you lost in the silicon lottery, some cpus overclock less than others...My A8 3850 is running at 3.5 GHZ at stock voltage on a worse MOBO

I know that is a lot, I just did a quick test and it was still unestable at 1.6, what are your other voltages?

all im saying is that you probably can get anything more out of your cpu, anyway unless you are using discrete graphics there is no point of a cpu overclock...just have fun with the iGPU overclock
