p2-300 to p3-600 problems

Hi, I just upgraded my system from a PII-300 to a PIII-600 over xmas. The system starts up fine and all, but now my computer will either lockup or retsart for no reason and some programs/games such as Starcraft will quite on random aswell. My system consists of a Asus P2B Revision 1.02 with 1012 BIOS, a 235 Watt Power Supply, one 128MB SDRAM PC100 stick, Matrox Millenium G200 AGP, Sound Blaster PCI128, Matshita 32x CD-ROM, Yamaha4416s CDRW. I think thats bout it for hardware, my jumper settings are at 6x100 for the 600MHz Katmai I have. Anyone have any thoughts as what the problems could be? Thank You

Sorry I can't help but if you find out let me know as I want to up date my p2 350 to a p3 600 also.

what voltage you runing that cpu at? You sure it is not a coppermine cpu?

Make sure your CPU fan is seated properly on CPU. If its not level you will experiance the problem your having now.

P2B is a very stable BX mobo
