Well I Ordered my Laptop.
Here what I got

ProStar 8794 Accelerator
17.0" WideXGA+ (1440 x 900) LCD
ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON™ 9700 8X AGP 3D with 256MB Integrated DDR
3.4GHz Intel P-4 (Extreme Edition-2MB Cache)
1024MB PC 3200/400 DDR (up to 2048MB)
80GB ATA/100 HDD 5400 RPM
Secondary onboard 80GB ATA100 HDD (5400)
DVD-+R/RW Combo Drive (Dual Format) 8X2X16X10X24X
USB 3.5" 1.44MB Floppy Drive - Standard
7 in 1 Flash Card Reader - Standard
2 12 Cell Smart Li-Ion Battery Run time 3 Hours Each
Creative Labs External Audigy NX2 - 7.1 SRS
USB 2.0 Port Replicator with Ethernet
Laptop Cooler TDD-3000
Wireless - Netgear MR814 802.11b Router

The manufacture wanted $850 for the cpu. And xtreamsnotebook it was $650

And i know alot of you going why so much Power. And I was looking at all the laptops and I wanted 2 hard drives. And not have to worrie about space and The problem with Usb hard drives is they need there own power source. And I wanted to try to keep everything in one Laptop. And taking a USB hard drive would not be easy.

Another question you all might be asking why such a big CPU. Well Paying a little more to get the better cpu. And I can use this for about 10 15 Years. Where the centreno. In a few years the cpus would Like a P2 300. They have a use but Not much of a use.

Then some are going How big is this Monster.

11.0" Wide
15.4" Deep
1.65" Thin

And then your all asking how much battery power.

Standard 8 Cell Battery - Approximately 1.5 hours of runtime (I did not get)
Optional 12 Cell Battery - Approximately 3.0 hours of runtime

And on the site says 10.5 lb with the 8 cell. so I m guessing .5 more with the 12 cell.

>Well Paying a little more to get the better cpu

A little ? You basically pay >$400 extra for <5% extra speed. those 5% would translate into a longer lifespan of maybe 2 months ?

> And I can use this for about 10 15 Years

Sure, I can also still use my 10+ years old "luggeable" 386 with monochrome display, and 2 floppies I have laying around somewhere. It still boots DOS 3.11, and works like a charm with WordPerfect :)

Consider this though, its not likely your batteries will last longer than ~1 year, a battery pack costs an arm and a a leg, and in a few years time, you won't be able to buy one at all anymore or it would cost you more than what the entire laptop is still worth by then. Pretty much the same applies to the LCD, which will not likely live for 15 years either.

But hey, if you have the cash, at least it will make a blisteringly fast notebook for a few years. Just don't expect it to run games 10 years from here, there is no chance in hell it will.

BTW, what is the big deal with the dual harddisk ? Isnt total capacity what matters most ? Its not like you can't upgrade those disks.. Having 2 is nice, but imagine a ten year old notebook with dual 20 MB disks today. I guess it beats a single 20MB disk, but not by much :) in 10-15 years you'll have memory sticks far bigger and likely faster than your current disks.

sounds like you dont Like Laptops LOL.

Well Two hard drives One mostly for mp3s. Having over 15,000 Songs. The other windows games and for the company. Now 75 gigs of MP3 fit on a 40 gig Hard drive NO.

And I did not want a centereno Which would only last 5 Years. And they and Amd 64 did not have much space.

Besides this will be for a buissness I will have. And a Laptop Easyers then showing a box load of glass blown items or Etch Glass or Repairing computers.

Why should I have 3 Laptops for 3 differnt things when I can Have one that dose Everything.

Only the frequency of the P-M is slow, the processor itself is pretty fast and takes very little power to run. The P-M 1.6GHZ is probably as fast as P4 2.4C, maybe faster. Computers are not future-proof, there is nothing you can do about it, and spending a lot of money on a computer still doesn't make it an investment, it only makes it seem fast for a few months. It's smarter to buy a new mainstreem computer every couple of years or so, and it probably costs the same.

Abit IS7 @ 275 FSB, OCZ PC4200 RAM @ 550Mhz, P4 2.4 @ 3.3Ghz Vcore @ 1.625, Sapphire Radeon 9800P @ stock, for now.
Thermalright SLK-947U, P3 HS @ NB.

LOL !!!

I bet EVERYTHING I have that in 15 years, that laptop will only be good for a museum, NO question about that. Are you insane or simply never dealt with computers before?

Well I gota admitt that is one fast note book. Do you mind me asking the total price? Those are large fast harddives for a notebook but would be very slow on a desktop. I would guess the drives would be an overall bottle neck not in games but just general things. Since that note book supports 2 drives you would think it could be set up as raid 0 giving you 1 drive 160 gigs and probably on par speed wise with most 7200 rpm drives. I'd look into them setting it up as raid0 anyway.

If I glanced at a spilt box of tooth picks on the floor, could I tell you how many are in the pile. Not a chance, But then again I don't have to buy my underware at Kmart.

Well it funny when someone says. do you know anything about notebook. And the research I done the books I read. In the Last 2 Years of notebooks. And what can be upgraded and what can't be upgraded. I can set this notebook with 512 to 2gb of ram. dvdrw drives can be upgraded. As well as the CPU. Now knowing the p4ee chips the last one might be the one I got or 3.6ee. And then the new tech on New hard drives comming out soon.

Now alot of you are going why not the P4 M. chips motherboard. Well 2.6 running close to 3.0. Seems nice but One Major problem. I did not see any that could hold 2 hard drives and a dvdr/cdrw. Same thing with Amd 64. And that alone Is why I got this system. I did not care to be Lugging a usb hard drive with a 80 gig hard drive. And the USB hard drives you needed a place that supplyed Power. Thing with a laptop it should be moble. Not 8 differnt parts.

When I go to the valley it a hour drive I can run this Laptop. Play games or listen to muisc or both. Here what differnt about me. I cant drive or work due to a accident from a book manufacture company. Due to seizures from that accident. And if I did work I would agree with you all. Why this high price Laptop. It Money I would of use for a car but I can't drive. But it gives me something to do while I go to the doctors or see my sister. Untell I get the right meds to stop seizures. I my never drive again. And when the seizuers stop. I still have to wait a year to beable to drive. So really you have to look at it in My veiw. And there other things you need to look at. If I'm having seizuers. I can be in the living room doing everything that I was doing in the bed room and have someone help me so I dont get hurt. When they start they Hit in a group of 5 to 6 seizuers a day. Then they stop for a few Month. Then come back. And I do not know when they start. It bascily I have one. And the next thing I know it a 30 Min to a hour gone by before I m with it.
