Switching from theAsus P8Z68 Deluxe/gen3 to the asus P8Z77 .

My question is will I have to reformat my hard drive so that the new mobo can read it? Or will I be able to plug it into the new mobo and be good to go with windows and all my program/files already on it?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Solution
It won't work if you just replace the Mobo/CPU and try to boot up. The Motherboard drivers will not be the same. You can try uninstalling all(and I really mean all) of the drivers before you shut down and then rebuild and start up the first time with the new board. It should be able to Install new drivers and run windows but there is no guarantee. I always do a clean install whenever a I upgrade a motherboard.
