Hey everyone, would like some help. Here's da details

Budget:
$1,250 ± minor deviation if necessary.

Operating System or Peripherals needed?

  • Monitor: A 2K monitor is needed if the build supports 2K gaming. Looking for a budget-friendly option with at least 144Hz refresh rate.
  • Keyboard: Budget of up to $75. Currently using Razer Cynosa Chroma and looking for an upgrade.
  • Mouse: Currently using Logitech MX518, happy with it but looking for an upgrade with a similar shape.
Where you are located:
middle east (not near microcenter)

Any other personal preferences or requirements?

  • Usage: Heavy gaming and workstation for virtual machines (VMs). Needs to support dual monitors smoothly.
  • Storage: 2TB NVMe SSD.
  • GPU: Must have more than 10GB VRAM for future-proofing.
  • Cooling/Noise: Very sensitive to noise. Prioritize a quiet build with high-quality fans (e.g., Noctua).
  • Connectivity: Prefer a wired internet connection but would like Bluetooth on the motherboard.
  • Upgradability: Looking for a system that will last several years (current system lasted since 2015).
  • No Overclocking: Not planned for now but open to learning about it later.
  • No Optical Drive Needed: Not required.
Sidenotes:

  • Current system: i5 6600 + GTX 1660Ti from 2015.
  • Plan to purchase the PC today.
  • Noise reduction is critical, with experience modifying GPU cooling for silence.

That's a tall order on your budget, having best of both worlds, where lies your main focus?
Gaming performance or workstation related tasks?
Gaming mostly. I'm only just getting into cybersecurity and I doubt I'll use it for work purposes at home for the first year but it might be relevant later on.. but then I might not be so budget-limited..

I've also considered an AMD CPU for cost-performance related reasons but the thing is the good ones (7800x3d) are 500USD, I'm looking for a 250usd TOPS one.. I can also give up on NVME and do normal SSD but whatever you suggest.. I had an I56600 with a 660. Upgraded to 1660 TI, got bottlenecked, used it till now.
Anything will be a huge boost for me, there's games I simply cannot play.

The 2k Monitor I wrote is not included in the budget obviously.. the said budget is only for the PC.

Thanks!

This would be 1440p capable. I don't recommend a 6 core chip for what you are looking to accomplish, so went with the cheapest AM5 8 core.
