PC Specs:
Case: Lian Li Lancool 216 RGB
GPU: MSI Ventus 2X OC RTX 4070
CPU: Intel i5-13600K
CPU Cooler: DeepCool AK620
PSU: CoolerMaster MWE 750 V2 GOLD
RAM: XPG Adata SPECTRIX D60G DDR4 RGB 16GB RAM (2x8)
Motherboard: MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4
OS: Windows 11 23H2
So long story short, my pc keeps like freezing, theres multiple cases to this
Case 1: PC disconnects all usb and reconnecting any usb device shows it as unrecognized (this means the mouse, keyboard too so can't do anything in Windows), audio cuts off, video playback stops or is like at 1 FPS? and I have to force shutdown
Case 2: Headset Audio cuts off, I have to fix it by going to sound settings changing the Format from DVD Quality to CD Quality to fix it, and the settings page freezes for like 10 seconds and then I change it back to DVD Quality
Case 3: Sometimes mouse disconnects and have to wait 5 seconds ish for it to come back
My thought was it was my cpu overheating since my AK620 Cooler is kind of bent (as in the heatsink or the pipe is bent, I'm not sure what to call it), Here's what I've tried:
- I have remounted it and reapplied thermal paste and dusted off my pc
- I thought it was the PSU but from HWINFO the voltages seem to be fine
- In bios changed CPU Lite Load to Mode 9 (It was 18) and disabling Enhanced Turbo Mode, seemed to help idle temps a bit hovering around 40C
- In bios changed my CPU Fan curves, Point 1 to 0C and 80% Fan Speed Point 2 to 65C and 80% Fan speed, Point 3 to 71C and 90% Fan Speed, Point 4 to 85C to 100%, same as above, it now goes to like 38 ish now
- Plugged the power cable of pc to an plug hub, as I thought it might not have been getting enough power/other plug hub was faulty so it was freezing, which goes to the wall outlet, planning to plug it directly to wall outlet.
- Moved the PC so it gets proper airflow, its on the ground but the case fans aren't blocked by anything.
- I've done the usual sfc /scannow and DISM commands in windows.
All these doesn't seem to help when testing cpu in cinebench r23 and occt, it thermal throttles still
Planning to change cooler to an MSI 240mm Liquid Cooler and plugging the pc directly to the wall outlet.
Cinebench R23 Score with CPU Lite Load Mode 9 and all above mentioned changes: 20-21k
3D Mark Time Spy Test (CPU Score): 16,186
Help to fix this would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
