Question Pc keeps restarting after new cpu installed

Hello,

So I recently installed a 9th gen in my gigabyte H310m s2p mb and since turning on it just starts up, fans light up and then 4/5 seconds later the whole thing reboots and does it again

Bios was updated to F14 (latest apparently) using an i3-8100T (no issues running that)

Gigabyte H310m s2p
I5-9600k
PNY XLR8 16gb 3600
Evga 2070
H100i elite lcd

troubleshooting
Reseated ram
Reseated cooler
Cleared CMOS

any further advice would be appreciated

Thermal paste/pads? What was used and how applied?

What specific troubleshooting was done? Results?

PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Will the system boot into Safe Mode?

Are you able to get into BIOS: If so then, if available, enable verbose mode so you can observe everything that happens during boot-up or the attempt to boot-up.

Sooooo…it turns out the fault was me and my sausage fingers, and to reseat the Cpu just in case and discovered some thermal paste on the face
