Hey everyone, I'm currently dealing with a problem that's persisted for the past two days., I've scoured all over the internet for solutions to no avail, which has led me to making an account in hopes someone can help me here.
I recently installed a Samsung 860 QVO 1 TB SSD on my PC running windows 10. Before the install i was running Arma 3 on ultra settings at around 60 FPS consistently. League of Legends was running at around 400 FPS consistently without crazy effects on screen on the highest settings. I cloned my previous HDD to my SSD, then wiped the HDD to use as backup storage. I restarted my PC and decided to check everything out and suddenly Arma could barely run on standard settings and LoL goes down to 100 FPS during calmer moments on highest settings.
Here's a list of my specs:
Motherboard: Asus H110 Plus
GTX 1070ti
32 gb (2x16) corsair 2400 MHz
i7-7700 @ 3.60 GHz
Samsung 860 QVO 1 TB SSD
Here's a list of things I've tried so far:
reinstall every driver possible
uninstall and reinstall both Arma and LoL (they're the games I'm using as testers)
check to make sure my PC isn't under powered (i have a 650W power supply, nothing leads me to believe this is the cause)
wipe the SSD of everything and reinstall windows and all programs
make sure my motherboard and SSD don't have some sort of conflict
After reinstalling windows and all programs league still runs at a max of 100 FPS and Arma was running normally but onlywhile displayed on my tv; when i removed that display and tried to run it on my main monitor it is stuck in 800 x 600 resolution and for some strange reason I am unable to set it back to 1920 x 1080 as the only thing I'm able to do is exit the game.
I primarily use my PC to edit on Adobe premiere pro and photoshop and i haven't run either of those programs yet but I do have projects coming up that would require the use of my computer at full strength.
So now you see my dilemma, I'll continue to scour for solutions but I would greatly appreciate any help or advice anyone can provide me with!
Many thanks in advance.
