Hello,

I built my PC 3 months ago for gaming, it has been working fine until now.

Specs:
  • Motherboard: MSI AMD B450 Tomahawk Max
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming X
  • PSU: Corsair TX850M - 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold
  • RAM: 2x Corsair 8gb
  • FANS: 6x Corsair LL120 RGB 120mm
It recently started randomly shutting off. No warning. It only turns back on if I shut of the power supply and hold the power button for 60 seconds to power it down. Then it will work for a bit, until it shuts down again.

Things I have already checked:
  • Temperatures are fine. 40 CPU, 60 GPU while gaming.
  • Power supply manually tested with paper clip - seems to be working.
  • Motherboard has been reset.
  • Drivers are ALL up-to-date.
  • Windows 10 is up-to-date.
  • Changed plug socket in house.
I have checked the error log files on my PC. The only thing showing is that AMD Radeon Software stops working at the time of shutdown. Whether this is this issue itself or a by product of the actual issue I am not sure. To be safe I uninstalled and reinstalled the software - problem persists.

Any thoughts? Due to the current closure is businesses due to COVID-19 I’m not sure I would be able to get it into a shop.

Looking for someone who has had similar issues, or knows what they’re talking about.

This is my first post in this forum.

Many thanks
