Okay, I have an XFX radeon hd 6770 video card, with the hdmi output, so i plug in an hdmi cord from there into my insignia 32" 1080p lcd tv. sounds easy.. and it works, I'm in 1920 x 1080 resolution. and my problem comes with text, and video playback, and basically just screen settings.. everything seems off colored, i cant read red text very easily on Everquest, just cant read it at all there. I have catalyst control center and would like to know what i need to do to make this clear, correctly colored, please guys I've looked all over the place and people said to change the name of my input to pc (...how?) so.. anyways. feedback please

Try the following 2"
1) Check the aspect ratio : Leave it to "Just scan" (If your TV has it, Worked wonders for my LG 55")

2)Under Input Lables Select the HDMI in use as PC / PC input

Yeah, this is definitely your TV settings. I had a similar issue on my TV and turning sharpness down to zero helped a lot. I also turned off all of the various image processing effects that the TV had like edge enhancement, motion flow, etc, put it on "game mode" and played around with the different color settings to find the best looking colors. I eventually got mine looking pretty good.
So yeah, I recommend playing around with your TV settings rather than your graphics card settings, and turning off any kind of image processing that your TV has, and sharpness all the way to 0.

What kind of video are you playing?

If it is just like streaming off of the internet, it might just be really low-quality video.

Have you tried playing any video that is actually good quality 1080p?

Well my card says 1080p is supported, and even on videos that aren't low quality things aren't as clear as they are on my other monitor (which is set up right next to it in 1024 x 768 resolution)

It sounds to me like the video is just not high enough quality.

For example, if you watch 1024x768 video on a 1024x768 monitor, it will look perfectly sharp because it is using every pixel on the screen.

If you watch that same 1024x768 video on a 1920x1080 screen, the video will look kind of blurry. That is because it is taking the 1024x768 video and stretching it to fill in 1920x1080 pixels. Does that make sense?

Try finding a video that is 1080p quality, and then watch it on your TV. That should look very sharp. If it does not, then something else is the problem. But to me this just sounds like low-res video being played on a high def screen, and of course it looks kind of blurry.

Okay I see what you mean everything is clear but im still kind of having trouble with my color. For example everything seems off when compared to my other monitor. I'll take some print screens of each and attach them

Every different monitor and TV will have different color reproduction. All you can do is play around with the color settings. I would do this on the TV itself rather than in CCC.

By the way, it might be that the colors on your monitor are off, not just the colors on your TV.

Most TVs will have some preset color options that you can cycle through. Sometimes they are called things like "warm" "cool" "movie" "natural" "pro" "custom". Things like that. You can try looking at these various presets to see if there are any that you like. The alternative is to mess around with the color settings yourself, individually altering things like, red, blue, green, brightness, contrast, etc.
