Hey, I build my PC and my processor is a Phenom ii 960T and it says 3.0GHz, 3.4GHz turbo boost.
How do I activate this turbo boost?
(If it matters my motherboard is Asrock A770de+). I know ddr2 slap me it was left over.
You can turn Turbo Core on or off in the BIOS but generally it is already on by default. And keep in mind that Turbo is a only a temporary boost when certain applications are ran, so if an application is not multithreaded to utilize all six cores the CPU will ''turn off'' three of the cores and then push the speed up on those cores to 3.4GHz.
Just saying so you don't think it's some sort of random free speed boost and then end up making another post here wondering why your cores are not running at 3.4GHz all the time.
