Yeah, its not an issue of online integrity, but the fact that I played MW1 for 9 months fairly hardcore, and already feeling as burnt out after 2 months playing mw2 casually. Plus being in canada, I know more people with NHL10 than MW2, so there will be more online action with my friends list, heh.

Yea, if you are going to get more playtime out of NHL10 then there is no point in keeping MW2 =)

Yup, I'm taking it to EB games today, as It is still worth 40+ for trade in, and NHL 10 is only 40, so aside from taxes will be a free trade 😀.

Anyways, Im having a hard time installing Vantage on Win 7 64 ..... For some reason the futurmark page will not load and I have tried this on several PC's. The downloader will install but when it is time to chose the correct version it just stalls...

Do you have any other operating systems installed to try?
Where are you downloading it from?

I had vantage already downloaded and I installed it and it works great on win 7 64...

I only have XP Pro and Win 7 Pro 64. I can only run Vantage on Win 7. I will try again today and see if the site loads completely this time.

Not a bad product, just not really needed ATM, I dont use anything other than the Bios and Turbo V to overclock.... Plus that thang is 150.00$$ 😱 .... I would rather buy a new case before I get that 😉

yep, have all those programs now, matter of fact 3DMark06 is why I'm getting these upgrades... rather disappointed in results with a Athlon II X2 250 and a HD 4670 I recently assembled...

Tracking info says I'll have the stuff today so getting excited!

OK, I will keep y'all posted thru the night!

I have just finished transfering over the Athlon II X2 250 and guts to an older case and have it up and running ... still have it oc'd to 3.3 and all seems to be working well.

Basics on what I'm replacing are the AIIX2 250 - Gig MA 770 T - Radeon 4650 and 4096 MB of 1033 DDR3. They scored from 7500 to 7900 in 3DMark06 depending on the oc I thru at it. I ran it constantly at 3300 mhz but had it stable at 3525mhz with no problems.

I'm just starting to assemble the new stuff now, so as long as all goes well should know something in a bit .

We are up and running!

All install straight forward except having to make a longer fan cable for one of the case fans

Have not benched it yet or trried to unlock but after memtest runs a little while longer I'll give it a shot!

actually it doesn't... all the smoke is staying in the componants and wiring, thank gawd

swapped over to prime 95 and after 10 minutes temps are staying right at 31c... oops 32 now, I'll give it a while longer and see where they stabilize...

So should I go for unlocking first or oc? i'm leaning towards trying to unlock first

Temps are stable at 31c, had 1 jump up to 32 but steady at 31 for 20 minutes now so looks like I got the thermal paste right

Hurry up and unlock those cores!!! nothing will happen to the pc as long as you do not overvolt the CPU .... keep it at 3.1Ghz 1.34v everything else stays stock exept for the ram settings (voltage/timings/frequency)....
