Question Plastic Film on Z790 AERO G MB near heat sink

There is plastic film wrapped around a white plastic enclosure for the MB's in/out jacks. This plastic and plastic film rest next to the heat sink shown. Finger points to plastic film.

Does this film need to be removed for proper MB function?

The user guide for this model does not specify. Even the Z790 label directly above it there in the photo had a film with a lip to remove it well.

EDIT: No, I am not talking about the M.2 film that clearly says remove.

I can't forsee anything being hurt by removing it. They may have wrapped it just to prevent scratching, etc. during the manufacturing process.

since the piece "wrapped" in it is also plastic, i wouldn't worry about the film being a problem or the area getting too hot for it.

i would just leave it to help the board stay in pristine condition;
stop possible scratches or other light damage to the plastic piece.

I think you make an excellent point here; I think completely otherwise, I'm just worried about the film having some lower melting point for the sake of fumes, but I think the PC would be way over safe temps in that theoretical situation regardless
