Please help hdd issue

I have one ssd & one hdd, Windows os is in my ssd but system won't boot if i add the hdd, it got stuck on starting windows, i even tried to install windows on the hdd but it doesn't work, i can't even format it & create new partition. Btw the BIOS does detect the hdd.
Please help anyone!
SSD is Sandisk 120GB & HDD is WD Purple 1TB

That is really unpleasant. :(

Is this a new drive? Your system can't boot right?

One thing you can try is to attach the drive with different cables to another SATA port. It may be a good idea to update your MOBO's drivers as well.
In case the issue persists, you can even attach the drive to another system. That way, you will be sure if all of this is caused by your system or the HDD itself.

If the drive behaves the same way and if it is under warranty, then you can contact the place you got it from or our Support and eventually RMA it: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=Sgr0TJ

Hey thanks for replying i did clean the hdd with diskpart and now it shows in the windows setup but i can't format it or create new partition, it got stuck when i try to do that.
