please someone help me Ms home edition topic

hello guys
ive got a prob i just got an X2 4400+ with windows xp home....and ive heard that it dosent utilize 2 cores but pro does??

im confused

if this is true im a true dumbass

Dont know the details, but as far as I know everything I have heard is the same. WinXP Pro is needed to utilize Dual Core. Maybe someone else can explain a bit better.

Home will support dual-core just the same as Pro.

Home supports only one physical cpu socket. BUT, will support a dual core cpu and hyperthreading.
